    Default Re-spraying question?

When I got my car(Metro Blue) from Vauxhall I got it treated with a paint sealant (Guard X), and paid a fair bit to get it done. Problem is that there's an area on the front bumper where it looks like the polish used to prep the car has been left streaky and its now trapped under the sealant! I've already spoken to Vauxhall and they've said they can re-spray the affected area, but that it might make that area appear rippled. Is that true or are they just trying to put me off getting it done? Or if it is true should I just push for a full bumper spray? I just dont know whether to believe what they say lol!

You can use a simple panel wipe used in body shops to remove the sealant, this paint sealant is very over rated in my opinion as it is no different than waxing and sealing the paint yourself.

So will a panel wipe remove just the sealant and not the paint?

Thanks guys. See vauxhall didn't mention anything about removing the sealant (which to me seems to be the simplest option - remove sealant, buff bumper, re- seal!). Im kinda curious as to why they were wanting to go the re-spray route. Im beginning to think they were just trying to avoid having to do anything at all......

I think i'll just get a local bodyshop to take the sealant off for me, then I'll sort out the buffing and make Vauxhall re-seal the bumper for me. Thanks for the advice guys!
