v6 cdti V 1.9cdti with tuning box

well i fitted a diesel tuning box a while ago it is now set to 17 turns and yesterday i came across a sri v6cdti on motorway every time he booted it i could keep up no probs from 70 to 100 after a while he pulled in to see what i had as soon as i passed him he pulled out again and stuck to my bumper when traffic cleared i floored it from 70 by 140 he had fallen a good way back (1/4 mile ish) when i came off m/way he followed and stopped next to me in inside lane and wound window down and asked if mine was chipped as it was faster than his. Even at 140 i was still pulling away from him not bad for a 1.9 , he then said he is now going to get his chipped

140 on the motorway? You'd lose the books for good getting caught doing that.

140 should be easy enough - my miserable Astra does 120mph, though I keep that to foreign countrys with slow police cars.

If it was an 05 or earlier then it's only 177 and post is only 183 I think it is. The 1.9 will rev much better higher up because it is lighter so with two cars of equal bhp, a 1.9 and 3.0 you should be faster.

Wouldn't personaly do 140 in traffic though, that's asking for trouble and I a right little boy racer.

Its not exactly responsible driving is it ?

Racing past the rest of us on the road with our families in at 140mph, to try and prove a point. Its not big and it not clever.

Yep. And anyway, I can go faster than you so why waste your time.

But seriously, I would hear of people giving the 1.9CDTI a bad name by mangling one on the motorway or getting hauled off by Mr beba.

I got stop this week for my blue LED side lights, got a slap and a producer. I appologised and swaped them over promptly. Haven't put them back either, I know when I'm wrong.

The neons, however, they had no problem with. Did I mention my neons yet today?

Lucky it wasnt an unmarked police car i would say. Our local traffic cars seem to be unmarked vecs. must be why people slow down when i'm behind them

must admit i have never een an unmarked vec as a police car up our way, they are all merc and bmws..

yes thay do have vec's around here unmarked as well
never said i was in traffic at the time though ,empty road when i floored it, traffic before but not during time and a place for everything

i know your chuffed to bits with your car mate but im sorry, its not the best thing to be doing shouting about it on a public forum.

Why not go along to one of the meets at santa pod etc so you can let of steam that way
