YAY just got a bargain PS3 !

Well lad at work out of the blue said he wanted rid of his ps3 , i offered him £140 and he accepted , just hooked it all up and its the dogs

came boxed with the following

40gb PS3
2 x controllers
HDMI cables etc
Cod 4 modernwarefare
cod 3
NFS most wanted
resistance Fall of man
Blazin angels 2
Assassins Creed
Spiderman 3 Blu Ray and X men something or other Blu Ray lol

What a bargain , the wife werent too impressed though

then just as i settle down check my email i see Grand Theft Auto: IV for £19 at Argos so collecting that tomorrow ....is it any good ? What else should i buy?

Also how do i get it to see my shared drive on my pc ? I cant see my PS3 from my pc even though its all connected via wireless , can see my lappy no problem but when i search for media centre from ps3 i get nothing ?
Oh and if anyone wants to swap any of the above games for Fifa 09 i'd be up for it (all my mates have it lol )

i use orb for streaming mate, but there is something called playstation streaming, i havent looked into it but my mate swears by it, will try and get the right name

Cheers m8 i was told it should just work out the box with my PC ? can i stick a usb stick in it and play my movies from there?

aint set up my online account yet the wife wanted to watch Hollyoaks !!!!! then emmerdale then Corra........ she says i can have telly after the apprentice lol

I copy my movies to an external drive or a USB and copy them to the PS3, works great

Good price by the way, i got my 60gb for £150

Thanks for the info lads , i'll add you's all when i get setup although dont expect much competition i'm a 100% mouse and keyboard jockey lol

Must say i had a quick look at a Blu ray movie , wasnt that impressed , was on 1080i too, is there any settings i need to change ? it seemed very dark and shadows seemed to dominate the faces , the high def games look amazing . Anyone got any thoughts on GTA ? whats the online gameplay like ?

For the PS3 to work with your PC you need to turn on media sharing in Windows Media Player, then you should be able to access all your media files from your PS3.

You dont need any other software to stream to the PS3!

I really enjoyed GTAIV but not so much with the online side of things.

If you compare the bluray to a normal DVD you will see the difference, have a check through the bluray settings if it's still not as good as you thought it would be. I will never go back to normal DVD now!!
