    Default Towbar recommendations

Probably not what you want to hear, a tow bar !
    I had a quote to fit a Witter G78AQ for £476 on a Sri V6 3.0 CDTI
It has the U shaped Towball removable so theoretically hiding the bracket and electrics and therefore don't spoil the image.
They are ordered specially so I wondered if anyone had knowledge of what these are like on a car. Is it really hidden if the ball unit is removed.
    OR
Has anyone done anything similar - need to get something fitted in Suffolk/Essex area.
    Cheers

You can just see a little bit hanging down below the bumper. Normally the electric plugs are there as well on a witter one, but these can easily be hidden behind the bumper if needed!

£476 does not seem to bad for a removable one with electrics. Remember if they use the vauxhall electrics it will need tech 2 I think.

You can buy one with electrics for around £250 and fit it yourself. Save yourself some cash.

They are not that hard to fit and with plug-in elecs theres no hassle with the wiring either!

I got mine from Towequipe for £200.00 after phoning up and speaking to them with the wiring kit took me about 3hrs to fit including doing the wiring all nicely hidden behind the bumper.

Any chance you could take a photo for me please?
The local witter fitter wasn't to sure how it looked and I would have to pay first as they are special order. I think Towequipe seem to have a sub fittin pace in Norfolk which wuld be OK at £100 less. I have fitted a towbar before, onto a Ford, but I was able to talk to the sellers at the shop first so they explained it all. Buying by post is much cheper obviolsy but I'd prefer to pay the £100 fitting.

Towequipe have a helpline to ring if you get stuck and they give you access to wiring diagrams and instructions to help you get it done.

It really isnt that hard at all!!

I got my PCT removable towbar from a trader on ebay and fitted vauxhall electrics. Can't be seen at all from the back. Only when you look from underneath. The electrics fold up underneath and it also has a lock, Hope this helps
