    Thumbs up hydrographics

i know that some of the members are looking at retimming the interior plastics and others are thinking of better methods than stick on carbon fibre...this got me thinking ofa company i used to "dip" a telescopic scope and had it coated in realistic camoflauge to match my rifle

the process if very simple and works on plastics and metals they treat the surface area - lay the "finish" in a chemical and immerse the item and its bonded to the "finish" the part is then laquered in matt or gloss your choice to protect it ...the also do flags and carbon fibre along with other very cool effects inclusing woods

just an idea that i thought some of you might like to explore to take it to the next level

    linky as follows http://www.hydro-graphics.co.uk/showcase.php

    regards

it works really well - my scope took lots of bangs and bumps and was unmarked - really cool process and relatively cheap to do i would thoroughly recommend them -from experience

When you say 'relatively cheap' Dez, what sort of cost for a scope? I am thinking about changing some of the interior trim cheers ..

    scope was £50
    i had a scope
    rifle
    bipod
    mounts
    laser
    silencer

all done for £300 when the process was fairly new 4 plus years ago
now i would have thought with the economic market being as is you could get it done MUCH cheaper
