    Default few little niggles

so i picked up my car yesterday as i mentioned before i bought it from a salvage place and had it fixed up so i've been waiting for about 4 weeks for it.

all in all it's a very very nice car but theres a couple of little bits i want to get sorted out.

The temperature is showing --- unless it's raining or wet in which case it shows between minus 40 and 25, i checked the connection on the sensor and it seems ok should i try a new sensor?

The interior light wont work at all not on door unlocking, door opening or with the button, i've tried replacing both bulbs and tried them in both ways so i'm not sure where to go from there

the air vent on the offside has a couple of wonky horizontal bars, is it easy to fix this or should i try and get a replacement?

I bought a spare alloy wheel as one was damaged but the new one has some white writing on, what can i use to get this off?

good start i know, thanks in advance

Glad your enjoying the new motor.
I would try a new temperature sensor first and the vents can be bought singularly from VXL I believe, not sure on price though.
Have you checked the fuses ref the internal lights?
AG Super Resin Polish might shift the writing on your wheel? Best just to try a few things.

might be just as quick to check every fuse in the fuse box mate, at least you will see if any others have gone too

All the interior lights are fed/controlled from the body control unit. This is tied in with the can-bus system. Check the fuse F7 (30A) for the body control unit in the passenger fusebox at the LH end of the dash (open passenger door for access). Are any interior lights working - boot, glovebox, cigarette lighter, vanity mirror, door lights? They are all controlled by the same unit. HTH

if it is the fuse wouldn't other things be affected like the rest of the interior lights? can anyone suggest something else? either that or recommend a good vauxhall indy garage in sheffield?
