Default Advice on buying mobile phone with gps ?

As above chaps , I need a new phone and was looking at a new sat nav.
So I thought I'd try and kill 2 birds with 1 stone , does anyone have any advice , or can anyone recommend a mobile with sat nav ?
It would need to be half decent , and preferably dash or windscreen mountable .
    Thanks in advance .

i have an xperia x1 and as of yet had a chance to try the sat nav, this phone downloads the maps so there is no need to have software that is out of date in a few weeks (every so often the phone connects to the net to update the maps)

I have the HTC Touch Diamond with built in GPS, GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi.

I've yet to put any SatNav software on it but it comes with Google maps installed and that is brilliant. You can get directions, Streetview and real time traffic info and it updates instantly, i.e. the little 'Dot' of you on the map is precise and moves with great fluidity, i use the traffic bit a lot on the M25 and it's spot on within metres of hitting traffic, and the map updates instantly, no waiting for it to update.

It's basically Google Earth on a phone!

For an excellent review of the phone have a look HERE at a brilliant website i frequent.

I got a Nokia E71, very pleased with that. I have only tried the maps briefly and they seem good. Then get one of these. http://www.dsldevelopments.com/brodi...dit-Holder.asp

I swear by my Sony Ericsson xperia x1 . I have Google maps tomtom and Memory mapping (offroad mapping of OS maps) on it.

In general though i dont think internal GPS are as good as external bluetooth ones.

I use this to mount it on a Brodit clip.
