The indicator bulb on the front left side of my car is gone out. I thought therefore I should change the indicator bulbs on both sides at the same time.
I have studied this forum for a safe recipe for how to change bulbs on Vectra C facelift model.
But, there seems to be quite a few different ways, or suggestions of how to do this ?..
The owners manual doesn’t say anything about how to change the indicator bulbs. It only says that one should leave this to the workshop.
So, I paid theme a visit, and asked them. But, I got the same impression as here at the forum; Someone says that it might be done without removing the front (bumper) and light cluster, and someone’s says that you have to remove front and cluster? I’m a bit confused. Can someone clear this up please?
I have tried to change the bulb my self without removing (loosen) the front, but to me this seems almost impossible. I have succeeded in reaching the bulb holder, and turning it, but there is no room for getting it out. It is squeezed into the inner wing…
So, I think I will go for removing or loosen the front bumper and light cluster.
Does anyone here know if it is possible to loosen the front, and only pool it out a little bit, without disconnecting the plugs to parking sensors, fog light etc. ?
I have to admit that I am a bit nervous for damaging the front or wings, when I shall remove the front. Is it correct that I only have to remove 4 bolts on top of the bumper, 2 bolts on each side of the wheel arches, and 4 plastic lugs under the car, and then just pull the bumper forward ?
And, how is the light cluster bolted on to the car. Are there only bolts (screws) on the top of the cluster ?
I hope you folks understand my English ?????
