    Default Warranty question about DMF

After 20k of moaning about a rumble when cold they agreed to do the DMF and the part is finally finally in when they booked my car in they said that "if there is blueing of the clutch plate then i'd be liable for the bill as the DMF is damaged by thermal shock/abuse" How likely is it to be blue? car done 50k? Ive been santa pod few time and certainly done drive the car light/softly?

I'm starting to worry as they wont know untill its in bits

Thinking of sihning their job car/permission thing with disapearing ink lol

The DMF is a known fault m8, I would be contacting Trading Standards and VOSA m8, let them know.

If it is the dealer also say to them:

"You can look at it in two ways; Vx Pay or You get not a penny cos im no paying."

    Hope it gets sorted.

I think the blue thermal thing is loada crap, there is a clause in the Sales of Goods Act whoch CLEARLY States the

"A good must be fit for its purpose"

A flywheel should see over 50k.

If you have a full service history with the car then you can claim Vx have been neglegent as they should have spotted this on a service.

And btw the its only easy for them if you let m8, get in touch with Trading standards as you have fighting chance. Dont let these clowns walk over you they are at it.

Jumping the gun is the way to be heard bud, but if I were you I would asking them for a reference number and tell them you are contacting TS and VOSA.
