    Default Battery dead

My battery has for last 3mths has been slowly dying. Lots of jump starts etc. I've had it back to stealers 3 times,as they fitted it only 17 mths ago,so its still under warrenty, and each time all i get is "computer says no!" and that the battery meter, which is a standard one used by all stealers is saying its fine and that they can't return it because it won't give them a fault code. And an independant auto electrician i brought it too says its toast. The battery won't start my car as it dies straight away even when fully charged.

    VERY FRUSTRAITING.............

Do you have aircon? There is a fault on some of the aircon control units which constantly draw a large amount of power which drains the battery quite quickly!! It needs the software updating by Vx, not sure if this is still s problem though!!

Also have you had your alternator checked?

And do you have any ICE mods which could be draining power??

Yeah have air con. I have replaced the battery myself and cars fine now. Starts on the button. The thing i can't get my head round is the battery has been tested by an auto electrician and he says its dead but dealer says its fine? And when i charge it up and put in car it dies when i try startin the car. Problem is convincing dealer that battery is dead

Can't you ask the Auto electrician to write you a letter stating that the battery is knackered, if he puts what tests he carried out (load test etc) and what the results were it may help you claim a new one..

I would try and get some proof that the battery is dead and get your money back from the stealers!!
