Some cars won't let you 'heel and toe' as the pressing the brake (even only very slightly, just to operate the switch) totally de-rates the engine. Try it, going up a hill keep the acc floored and very lightly press the brake, you will notice the engine behaves as if you have released the acc pedal (ie de-rates). Mine does it anyway, and so did my last car.

I don't watch any car magazine programs, so if 'heel and toe' is other than pressing the acc and brake pedal together then ignore the reference above, and please tell us (me) what it is. Is it something Vicki does alone?....... mmmmm

My veccy is the same, doesn't work with left foot braking either, as soon as you hit the brake, it takes a second or so before you can start accelerating again.

I learnt Heel & Toe at Donnington in 96 when I went to racing school. It was cool to drive someone elses's car flat out for hours on end!!!

Keep practicing and it becomes easier as time goes on.

It is relatively easy to do, but only if the car allows it, as above>>>

I could do it a treat in my pug 306 but can't get anywhere near it in the vec. The pedals just seam to be spaced all wrong for my wee feet. Its great for booting it right into an apex, changing down and booting it out again in one smooth go without unsettling the balance.
