Default To any Diesel Fuel Experts.

I have this habbit of looking into where u put the fuel nozzle... and noticed that diesel is always a yellowish colour....

well today after putting £20 of Tesco cheap diesel in i looked as normal and was VERY surprised to see a bright illuminious blue colour!!!

Ive filled up at this tescos before and its always been yellow...

So to all the expert out there... why was it blue and is it ok??

The girls at the tills did say they had some new equipment installed on the diesel pumps that dealt with the evaporated fumes etc etc ...

I would hazard a guess at dye. They may well have put dye into the fuel to identify where it comes from.

I'm sure its a dye or additive too..

or maybe a cleaner that was put in the tanks...

Diesel (DERV) is actually clear in colour
However it can have either a yellow or blue tinge depending on the background light
I really don't want to put my Physics degree hat on to explain it!
