feel for you mate, why oh why do they target people who want to ride a bike, educating car drivers would save more bikers lives, a seventeen year old can pass his car test and jump into a lambo that can do serious damage but biker has to take two tests and limited to engine size, stinks! but stick with it bud and you will get there, tony.

Check with your local riding school as I am sure that the test commencement date has been postponed AGAIN. Sites aren't anywhere near ready.

my first bike was also an mb50,i still have one!!
i passed my test 25 years a go,and the test then was a 2 part test,1st part was off road.

as to the new test i would not worry about it,even if they do implement it it wont be till later n the year anyway so you have time to go for it,i would do it asap as things can change.

as to the car test, yes they should put in a part about motorcycles,in a section like the hazard test, also they should stop people teaching others learning to drive,as the majority would fail the test and they then pass their driving habits onto their subject, today i saw a learner in a private car go from lane 1 to lane 2 on a roundabout junction, then go around the roundabout all without indicating,a full licence holder cannot teach another rider on the road why should a car driver have the same privliges?

This wont make you feel any better but, first lesson on a C70, instructor said, "its in the garage mate, be back in an hour"

Second lesson CB100, two weeks trying to pass the highway code exam, failed it twice.

Signs were in greek. Day of the test, examiner tells me to drive round the block, then go slow.

    Congratulations you've passed

Sorry about that little reminisce, sent to DVLA for a full UK bike licence, a very long time ago.

None of that malarky when I took my test back in 1980.
The examiner stood by the side of the road and watched you pull away into the distance. Then saw you as you returned riding very carefully. Then held up his hand for the emergency stop!!

    Simples!!
