Honesty

High winds have wrecked two of my fence panels in the back garden, so I got fed up at staring through the gaps and ordered two new panels delivered.

Lorry turned up this morning and driver said 6 panels to deliver. (I only need 2 and paid for 2 over the phone)

What would you have said to the driver?

I showed him my receipt and said I paid for two, but if he wants to leave the other 4 for free, then by all means.

He didnt. and took the other 4 back, cussing their admin team as he re-tied them to the truck

Damn honesty

EDIT: However, once delivered, he did ask me to sign the delivery docket to show that only 2 panels had been delivered. If I had taken 6 panels, I probably would have got another bill !!!

I'd have taken the 6.... you get shafted in this world all the time, getting something back is always nice

Me and the misses went out for a meal last Monday night. When the bill came it didn't have the drinks on that we ordered from the bar. I told them, and they added the price.

Honesty IS the best policy. What goes around, comes around...
