lol, i have the wife and my hifi setup.....not allowed bikes anymore she saw me on one once
i always had road bikes but now in the same boat as you. wife n kids so not allowed one on the road any more hence the trialy
Oooh, watcha got? yes, I like my hifi/Av too. I keep telling mine that I'll be getting one again - doesn't go down well! She doesn't quite understand how I still want to get back on one after having 50+ stitches in my left leg after being kindly taken off by a car driver who pulled out without looking!
prob doesnt help ive written off countless bikes but never had a license yet she says im mental on a bike - last one i snapped in half round a tree in mid flight hahaha ( i was offroad obviously )
at the moment i just sold my denon 2105 and bought an onkyo tx-sr506 ( origionaly bought for my parents who said they prefered stereo sound and didnt want it ) i know its a budget amp but its 7.1 and hdmi, i think itsounds better than the denon! 2 floor standing jamo fronts, a rubish sub ( spent sub money on car ) and 5 panasonic satelites ( cheap and chearfull ) i love good 7.1 sound even hen from a 2 chan or just 5.1 digital its amazing, dolby rocks
what you got ?
lol, watcha like?!Arcam Alpha 9 integrated amp - used to soley power two Acoustic Energy AE 109 floorstanders for the (Meridian) CD side of things. Then there's a Yamaha Dolby Digital 5.1 surround processor (forgotten the model off the top of my head) that is hooked in to supply the surround processing and drive the Acoustic Energy centre speaker and the Mission rear surrounds.
So, an okay setup that I've had for quite a number of years - the Yamaha being the most recent upgrade from a previous (Yamaha) 2.1 processor. The Arcam, AE speakers and Meridian CD I've had for ages as I still like them and in no hurry to change them.
I've never bothered with stand-alone AV amps as I like the Arcam setup driving the AE speakers and, as I've already done, if I want to upgrade the surround side of things all I do is upgrade the processor rather than having to shell out for a whole new amp.
i <3 mission speakers, yamaha`s always good as well - sounds like youve got a great setup whilst mines moer budget, still gives a hell of an impression watching films
o O ( if i was to upgrade the AV setup she WOULD kill me lol ) --- bad enough ive started playing with the car!
