    Default Preparing for Death...

    Are you ready?

Friends uncle collapsed and died this morning (RIP). Apparently he had prepared a funeral pack for this eventuality...

Anybody else prepared for death? .... or have you considered how your family will cope after you've gone?

I went recently with my Mother,to help her make all the arrangements. She says that way everything will be as she wants, not what the family wants.Plus it will stop any arguments over what different family members think should be done

Me and the misses have spoken about this, we sorted out our wills 2 years ago and talked about what we want and what kind of funeral we would like. I dont think it's morbid, as when the time comes to pop the mortal coil, as it will for all of us at some point, at least things are planned/discussed/written dowm and stops family arguments as Fenderguitar says. I think its daft not too discuss it

Made wills some years ago & apart from a few amendments are the same. Regarding funeral arrangements my children know exactly what I would like. Death is not something you can avoid & my funeral will be a happy & bright occasion black is not on at all. I wear a bright tie at to any I attend as this reflects my thoughts for those leaving us. Emotions are another thing that take over, tears flow hugs help & try to talk as much as possible about the person using their name not he or she. HTH

Everyone should think about making a will now if you haven’t already.

I agree, after my father died my brothers and sisters hardly mentioned his name infront of my Mum.I was taking my mum some-where in the car along with my son and we passed the graveyard. My Son said "Granny thats where you goto live when you die."We had to laugh
