    Default 3.2 Engine parts.

    Hi to all!!!

Im brand new to the site. I have to confess I havent got a Vec C but I have the 3.2 out of 04 GSI in my Vec B.

The reason why Im posting is Im after some help please.

My engine has a thirst for oil. 1L every 300ish miles.

Im having trouble sourcing piston rings/seals and a full gasket set. Has anyone purchased any of these items and if they have which company supplied them?

Any info will be greatfully received.

Hagga, doing a comp test either tonight or tomorrow to confirm. Gromit has made me a very interesting offer and ill be letting him know soon as. As for Ebay it was first port of call. Nothing found. I found one company for a gasket set and they asked if i have the twin rocker cover gasket or the 4 seperate ones. I cant remeber as i had to junk them to fit the alloy covers formt the 2.5. Ive emailed her a question and just waiting for her reply. As for searching a scrppy for a lump, they wont let a 3.2 go for anything less than £700.

try using a quality oil flush like forte, not the stuff you get from halfords, and give the engine a good flush,if the engine has been stood for a while the oil rings can stick causing excessive oil consumption

Ive done a comp check and it points to No4 piston rings are worn. Cheers for the offer Gromit but Vx will do new rings for £30 and as its only one piston thats low im not going to change the others. The other 5 fired straight to 8/9 bar on first revolution and went to 14.5/15 bar.Cheers for your help guys!! Much appreciated
