Hi mate, TBH they are only Xenon gas filled bulbs, its a bit mis-leading in the title with HIDs written. The best results you'll get are with a real HID kit, from HIDs Direct etc.

Or, if you dont want to go that route, a good set of Mtec Fog and 501 sidelight bulbs, with either Philips Extreme, or Osram(?) Nightbreakers would still give you a good improvement.

They'll be worse than standard mate, as the blue coating on the bulb dims the light.

Your best bet is to spend £70 on a HiD kit to get a decent light output, no halogen bulb will come close to a hid kit, JAM_Performance on eBay sell great kits at a good price that work spot on with the Vectra.

HID's aren't technically legal as such, but cars seem to pass their MOT's. Cars with HID Xenons are meant to have auto levelling sensors and headlamp washers.

TBH there's nothing available that will compare to a HID kit...

Results are great kinda used to them but still nice when you see the purple glow in the reflection of a silver car. Legal side I dont know but I let a copper pull out on a roundabout and he dint say anything actually thanked me. Looked into the legallity when I got them and its a strange one - they are illegal but only if they are of a certain spectrum of light and if they dont have washers. Not really a thing that is enforced from what I gather and so long as you dont take the mick and they look like they belong will be ok.
