I hope my car's not a duffer

I've owned my two-and-a-bit year old car for just over year; it's suffered split vacuum tubes, needed a new turbo (and that in the last two weeks.)

Now the air con compressor needs replacing (awaiting parts at the dealership) and the exhaust emissions light has come on and stayed on.

It's a great car when it's running right, but I'm getting a bit worried about keeping it long-term.

Oh dear, these 1.9s seem to be problematic on the whole. I have had one for 3 years now and only the standard wiper linkage failed so far but I am beginning to breath a sigh of relief at the end of every journey if the spanner light does not appear and it lives for another day. Simply becasue of the common problems you guys are having does not bode well.
Hope you get it fixed ok and it settles down for a few years.
I'm seriously considering a Jag XKR as my next car.

Fixed by filling the tank full of diesel; it was down to quarter of a tank. FFS. We'll see what happens.
