    Default traffic question ?

just a quick question to those of you in the know..
i have a delivery tomorrow that i cant gain access to.
this is because it on a one way street and due to the size of my lorry and tight corners the only way to get to the house is to reverse about 200 yards the wrong way up the one way street.just wondering if i can do this without getting into trouble. obviously there will be some one behind me to warn traffic but im still worried as i dont want any points thanks for reading.....

    Totally illegal.

I would look at careless driving as you know its wrong but did it anyway or is that dangerous driving....have your pick..

Dangerous driving is defined in S2(A)(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988. A person is guilty of dangerous driving if:
    1. the way he drives falls far below what would be expected of a competent and careful driver and
    2. it would be obvious to a competent and careful driver that driving in that way would be dangerous
You know its dangerous so don't do it.........

Any application of sense and logic would show that sometimes it is not possible to be compliant. Therefore you would have 'legal excuse' - surely?
