    Default Door Speakers.

I am hoping to replace the front door speakers with something a bit more substantial than the standard vx ones - considering....

    • Size: 165mm ( 6.5" )
    • Power handling RMS / max: 100 / 200 W
    • Frequency response: 45 - 5000 Hz
    • SPL (1W/m): 89 dB
    • Magnet weight: 17.2 oz
    • Mounting diameter: 145 mm
    • Mounting depth: 67 mm
    • Diecast basket
    • Rubber surround
    • 3" voice coil

Any opinions anyone. Is the mounting depth OK?

are you running them off an amp? If you're not they're probably a bit over the top?

Should be ok, just don't forget the speaker adaptors. They are available from the same website.
Are you planning on amping them? The reason I say that is because you can actually cause damage to them by running little wattage just the same as if you run too much through them. I would run at least 50 watts RMS through them.

Got them in mine nearly a year now. Now have four tweeter instead of two!

Defiantly an improvement over stock but you pay a premium for the easy fit.
