Default Pre facelift sri lower centre bumper grill

morning all, was cleaning the vec in the night (on nights at work) and noticed that the front bumper lower centre mesh plastic grill seems to have become loose, nothing looks broken but when you try to push it back into place it just comes adrift again.anybody know how there ment to be held in place?

I think if its the same as the facelift there should be some clips on the bumper which line up to the mesh, you just need to line them up and pull the mesh back towards you to refit.......

The clips are part of the bumper molding, so if you pushed the grill out and ran your finger around the bumper edge you would hit the clips.

    You can see them below

And if you look closely you can see the little holes in the edge of the grill where the clips go in.

    Hope that helps.

You should be able to pop the bonnet and reach down to the grill in front of the rad. Push on the frame part. The grill doesn't actually come apart like the one in the pic, I cut the old mesh out to re mesh it with a VXR one.

Sounds a little drastic m8 once you've messed them you're stuck with what’s left imo ..........

Sometimes you really have to force them to click in. Best bet is to get the bumper off, place it face down on a towel and really force the grill home with all your weight.
