    Default Baby Seats

Might be of use to someone but was out yesterday buying yet another car seat as the one we had from the Corsa doesn't fit the Vectra. Anyway I learnt something new which I'd completely written off cause I couldn't see them that Vectra C comes equipped for ISOfix car seats.
I normally see these fixings day in & day out on other cars as the fixings slightly pretrude out from the back of the seat but on the Vectra you have to tuck your fingers right in behind to feel them there.

Just thought I'd say as I went out yesterday thinking nothing from the ISOfix range would fit when it will. Didn't end up buying one though, just a normal one using seat belt.

Hmmm, wish i'd have felt for the isofix fixings then. I just assumed as I couldn't see them they weren't there so we purchased as non isofix car seat.

According to most reviews ISOFIX was standard fit; yet another item dropped from the later cars? Hell's teeth, whatever next?

TC and ISOFIX dropped? Airbags optional extras next year I reckon...

You mean you want a wheel at EACH corner? As standard?

we bought the britax one from vx and it is a very good seat. our only quibble was that it is supposed to be suitable unil 15 months or 18lbs, our baby was 5 months old and her feet were touching the rear of the back seat which to me because it is a 5point harness, if we did have an rear end accident and her feet are up on the seat then she would probably break her leags and possibly her pelvis. we took the seat with baby fitted in it back to vx to show them and they agreed, and offered us the next size up for cost price. We didnt take them up on it as it was a forward facing seat. we did buy onefrom mothercare which doubles up as a rear facing for the first 9 months and then turns round to a forward facing for the next few years, and it has more room than the vx one

Hi peeps..used to work for mothercare, and not sure if any parents are aware of this, but if you have a passenger air bag a child up to age of 10 shouldnt sit in the front of the car. Gaps in between bones is still quite large and should airbag clip them on chin when going up will break a childs neck.

Also no rearward facing seats should ever go in the front if you have passenger airbag

I still remember my little brother having his carrycot on the back seat, held in with bungee ropes! H&S would have a fit now!! This was 1982 by the way, in the old mans Toyota Cressida!! What a heap that was!
