does anyone find the vectra c sri to have a lot of road noise to the point it becomes anoying had it a the my dealer evans halshaw they say its charactistic of the sri.

They are all noisy to an extent tbh mate..its more than likely down to tyres also the SRi has uprated suspension to ..

Mine's way quieter than the Mk5 Sporthatch it replaced. Then again I'm not running the junk Goodyear tyres any more either, which makes a BIG difference.

The NCT5s are awful tyres for noise - oh, and wet weather grip too. lol

Got no issues with the 1.8 Life road noise wise, but people have flagged noise as an issue with the Sri's before on here.

My Vectra was noisier with the Pirellis that mine came out the factory with. Had 2 Michelin Pilot Primacy's put on the rear soon after I bought it. They quietened the rear ride considerably.

Thereafter, I put 2 Fate Advance AR-550's on the Front late last year and had to have another on the rear this February.

So far very pleased and the tyres are much more silent than the Pirellis.

my sxi has terable road noise, gets to me sometimes, mind its the price you pay to look cool (19's and slammed)

My gsi is farily noisy (then again 19s and rubberbands wont help) - but i dont mind it - a good reason for whacking up the sterio

i have a facelift sri cdti, and its is very quiet, seems like im driving a petrol ! but then again my last car was a tddi mondeo and boy that was LOUD !

Mine had Bridestone Turanzas on from new and they were so noisy that i went out and bought 4 new tyres(Mitchlin premacy's) after only 3000 miles.I sold the Bridestones on Ebay.Now the ride is lovely and quiet.

That said, I changed TO Bridgestone Turanza. ER300 specifically. Very happy with them.
