Problem with Vec!

Well it's going very soon but has developed a problem. Basically it's going into limp mode and the engine warning light is on. It's fine normally for 5 mins or so after starting but then I lose loads of power. No juddering etc..l just loss of power.

Took it to the stealers and they quoted £600 for a new intake manifold and said it's a swirl flap malfunction.

Now reading on here it sounds like the loss of power is the EGR valve, can anyone shed any light on this?

I've read about the swirl flap fix on here using the washers so I will have look under the bonnet tomorrow.

I had the swirl problem on mine and no warning lights came on at all. By the sound of that, the EGR is possibly clogged up with cack. Whip it off and clean it out and I'm sure you will notice the difference!

The swirls can give EML errors. Have a nosey under the bonnet and check the swirl connecting rod to see if its still attached or if its fallen off.
