Mintex Brake Pads, am i in luck

Well today i have been tidying the cupboard out and found a bag containing a set of Mintex front pads number MDB 2547.

I have searched through the forum and found this post and i think i have a brand new set of police spec pads for my 314mm setup

So silly question are they better than the oem ones and should i fit them straight away?

quite possibly but lets face it unless your really hammering your brakes on a track i wouldnt bother just a waste of time and money wait till the oem get low and change them then

If they are the Police spec ones then yes, they are better than the OEM ones IMO - they've got a nicer feel to them and are a bit more progressive but with a firmer bite when you push harder. They're not just for track use - how many Traffic cars do you see going round tracks?!

Seriously though, on the road you do feel the difference with them.

If your current ones are not far from needing replaced then yeah, I'd whack them on. If you've got loads left on them then you may as well run them down before changing over - unless you're chomping at the bit to try them out!
