    Default Help with star silver

I use Auto Glym car wash and have the polish, I also bought some Meg's Scratch X which has helped the scratches a bit.

What else should I be doing or what else should I get?

Just got light scratches to get rid if and give a good shine, oh and anything good at gettin all the tar rubbish you pick up?

    Thanks for the help guys!

Well this is what I have done to my motor. It is a bit of an anual thing.
Pre-wash the car, with snow foam, in a Gilmour gun.
    Rinse off.
Wash car with Megs Gold class or megs NXT soap.
    Dry with drying towel.
Clay all over.. Stubbon tar removed with AG Tar remover).
Wash again... To remove all residue.
    Dry again.
Using a Porta Cable Dual Action machine polisher.
Paint clean with Sonus Paint Cleaner.
    Wipe off Cleaner.
Then depending on how bad the swirls are I use either Megs # 80....#82....#83. I have some AG SRP to try next time( see how that compares to the megs polish)
    Wipe the polish off.
Then a coat of either Megs #21 sealent or CG Jetseal 109 ( though a sealent is not really necessary if you are putting a coat of Wax on after wards).
I then finish off with a coat of Canuba Wax ( Colinite. DoDo Banana armour. Victoria Concours Wax. CG 50/50.DoDo Supernatural, P21s, to name a few I use).

When all this is done then a coat of Wax every now and then ( say once a month) keeps it shiney and makes the rain bead off.
The method how you wash the car is very important to keep the swirls away.
I use a wash mit as they tend to be less harsh than a sponge.
A grit guard in the bucket is a good idea too.
Using the Two bucket method is recomended to rinse the wash mit before you put it back in the soapy water.
Once all the hard work is done it is easy to look after as long as you wash it without putting swirls back on the paint.
