URGENT Advice needed - Injectors

All,

Due to the amount of work that VX have been doing lately on my car they have given me a free Service (major) and MOT...

So, I reported that there is a very lumpy idle and if you raise the revs to 1000 rpm, the whole car shakes - so there is a misfire.

VX have just rung me and said that they have tracked the fault to the injectors... Now - these are £120 each and 2 hrs labour to do!!..

So thats close to £800!! :O

Do I have anyother options that you can think of? really am getting fed up of forking out money on this ****** car!.

Injector cleaner added to fuel? Notice they put some in mine at last service I think.

yes - it was a hard to tell - need to change all type thing..

Can't they narrow down the search to one injector? Is number 3 injector wiring harness all in good condition? This is a common problem, check the plug to the injector too

Injector plug done not so long ago because of the same type of symptoms. Inlet has also been changed!

Is there a cheaper source to get the Injectors that anyone knows of. Dont want 2nd hand ones if they are prone to failure!

I had the same Running issues , Turned out to be injectors 2 and 3 replaced now runs As Smooth as ever

Well I have asked them for there best price! Lets see.

Well - got the car back today from VX after they have now changed all 4 injectors and fuel filter..

What a MASSIVE difference to the car. So smoooooth now on both idle / revs / and power delivery.

The dealer also agreed to a 45% discount on parts and labour - which I think is Fantastic.. Hats off to Now Vauxhall Heathrow - I have had to spend a lot of money in the last two months on the car and they have really helped where they can in both price and advice on how to tackle VX cust' serv'..

Happy Now - car is GREAT!
