Default 302mm discs & pads? Upgraded, OE, what?

My 302mm upgrade is on it's way, so I need some suggestions as to what pads and discs you folks with 302's use?

I'm not afraid of OE discs and pads, but am open to other suggestions?

When I had the 302mm setup (standard before I got the 314mm kit) I used the Vx OEM pads which are stamped Ferodo. They perform well and have a nice progressive, but firm, feel to them.

Cheers for that Duncan, my usual default choice is QH discs with Apec pads. Sadly, neither do the 302mm items, so it's either OE or some other upgrade like EBC, Black Diamond, etc.

Well, anything's better than the 285's - I've had some "interesting" situations when I've had 3 passengers, one on the motorway where I had the brake pedal to the floor and just stopped in time, complete with a huge plume of smoke from the brakes. Don't fancy repeating that.

Also got the rear brakes sorted out, had a few problems with those as well, so everything should be safer.

It depends on engine size. 285mm are the standard fronts. 302mm on 2.0T (and some very early 3.2) and 314mm on the subsequent 3.2s and also the 3.0CDTi and 2.8T except VXR which are 345mm.
