safe mode

I was driving the car to work this morning and the engine management light came on and the car went into what i think is a safe mode as it would not rev above 3K and would not go past 70mph does any know what this could be or does it need to go on the computer to get sorted

Did you try stopping the engine and restarting ? that sometimes resets.

no i didn't try that its parked up now untill i go home so might reset. but will it happen again

If it doesnt fix with a restart, you will need to take it to a garage with tech2 id imagine.

A generic code reader may tell you what is wrong.

If you need to call the AA / RAC, get them to tell you any fault codes stored. It may make a difference in deciding what to do next.

didn't know they had the software to look at fault codes would green flag also have this as that is who i am with
