NCDC2013 Swap

Right will be attempting a swap soon so just wanted to run a few things by some of you's that know or anyone thats understands these diagrams just to double check the way i need to rewire both CID plug and Radio plug

Just looking at the wiring diagrams this one is for the CDR2005/2206 Radio plug



This ones for the NCDC2013 Radio plug



And this is for the GID All models






GID

pin 1 Brown --> Ground
pin 4 Black --> X11.12
pin 5 Red --> X11.15
pin 8 Red --> Radio 7
pin 14 Brown/wh --> Diag plug 12
pin 19 White --> Radio 33
pin 20 Green --> Radio 32
pin 22 Green --> Diag plug 3
pin 23 White --> Diag plug 11
pin 25 Green --> Airbag 8
pin 28 Green --> BCM.40
pin 29 Grey/wh --> Radio 1
pin 30 Black/wh --> Navi 29 (radio pin 29)
pin 31 Red --> Radio 2

pins 9,10,11 on GID not needed

RADIO PLUG

All the same pins on radio except these

CHANGE

cdr2005 -- > Pin 27 --> Diag 8 this needs to be put into diag pin 12 (theres all ready a wire there so will just tap into it)

ADD

Pin 19 of GID/CID --> Pin 33 of Radio
Pin 20 of GID/CID --> Pin 32 of Radio
Pin 30 of GID/CID --> Pin 29 of Radio

and finally pins 3,17,24,25,30 not needed on Radio plug as these are for twin audio/travel assistant
All so as its a GID and not a CID i'm fitting theres no need for the RGB pins and VDA + i dont want Telephone so no need for them

Only thing now is the BC isnt working and according to manual

*For vehicles without On-Board computer,the BC-settings menu is displayed when BC button is pressed*
this is what mines doing so does anyone know if i'm able to get it activated ?

Sorry I missed your calls mate, I totally forgot about the 32 pin plug. I've just been cleaning the car... got a member popping round tomorrow, so had to give her a scrub to save myself any embarrassment LOL.

Will do tomorrow just ordered an Ariel just to try it out the now,will fit the original at a later date.
Does anyone know if BC was a optional extra ? as i think mine is deactivated not sure if plasma or duncan can tell if theres an option in tech2 to disable BC

Hi Don, here's the options you should have when you press the BC button -

If I click on System settings, I get the language, Units etc... The options were the same on my GID.

I think your right, a few on here have had to have it Tech2 activated. Even models that have the ability to have BC have had to have it activated.
