I ran out of fuel yesterday....

Serious, I was doing 60mph on a single carriageway, few stutters and the old girl shut down on me, range flashing "0" !!!!!!!!

Just to retain a bit of pride, my fuel gauge has stuck just under a quarter!!

Thought she was going well on what fuel was left !!! What an experience, anyone else ever ran out of fuel ???

once in a mondeo, the gauge was dodgy.........mine cut out on some main traffic lights, i felt like a right tool

Once in the middle of the night in Germany on the slip road of the autoban. Couple stoped & picked me up, drove a couple of miles & dropped me back. Very happy top up on the way. Not my car a Land Rover guy didnt have a clue about it. Stopped in Hungary lets just check levels, oil very low. We made it home no indicators working hazards & pull out lots of scary people.

ive done it in one of the spare wagons at work not good in a hgv stuck on the ring road at rush hr lol yet again the gauge was dodgy
thats what i told them at work anyway

I made the mistake of parking on a slope when the guage read zero... I knew there was fuel left, but because of the angle it wouldn't start. Pushed it on to the road with the help of a friend (who thought it was hilarious!) but still no luck so we drove for 20 mins in rush hour to find a petrol station and then got ripped off for a plastic can!
