    Default Playing with clay

Got the bug this morning and go the megs quik clay out of the garage from last year! I used it once before and wasn't impressed as I thought it was leaving black spots everywhere. I doscovered today that these spots are the deposits its trying to remove

So the mags stuff was great for the sides of the car, but it wouldn't touch some of the crap on the bonnet so I didn't do the roof as thats worse. I guess that the megs is a very fine clay? What should I try next, something a bit more aggressive? Any suggestions on what as the megs isn't cutting it

Have you tried TFR on the black spots Sean?

Sonus do aggresive clays but I've stayed clear of them so far as it's easy to cause more damage.

I use their Green clay and it's shifted evertything including the crap on the Pajero practise panels I have. It won't shift all the fine tar spots though. TFR for that.

Maybe I should give the roof and bonnet a wipe with the AG tar sopt remover? I just got the impression that the megs stuff would have taken ages/never to remove the spots.

I would have photos but not sure how to resize them with vista

I'd try the AG. The clay we used on the car at AB failed to remove all the tar spots. TFR removed them no problem.

What about Photobucket for the pictures? There's a How 2 on here.

I would use the AG Tar Remover first mate. Then clay afterwards. Clay takes alot of the smaller tar spots off but can struggle with bigger bits.

Nope, snowfoam is snowfoam and TFR is traffic film remover, two different products.
