ok I've taken the 1.9 CDTI & Vectra badges off. My questions, do the SRi badges and the griffin on the bootlid have bits that go into the bodywork or can they be safely removed too?

    Cheers

hmmm one of the SRI badges has left an outline in the lacquer which isn't great. Anything I can do about this without involving a bodyshop & £££?

Don't put them back on, some T-cut (or similar) with some elbow grease will remove that no problem, that's just what happens when you remove the badges, mine did the same.

ok but it's not glue, it is actually lacquer. Don't want it spreading up the wing! you sure?

It shouldn't be lacquer, just a build up of polish, dirt and all sorts - will polish off.

been at it with scratch-x, t-cut, white spirit etc etc. it's not shifting, I really think it's lacquer so ordered a new set of SRi badges off ebay to put back on. oh well...
