DPF removal

Has anyone successfully remove the DPF from the exhaust ?
Im thinking i could cut it out, weld in a replacement pipe, then get Vauxhall to flash my signum with a vectra ECU .... would they do this ???

I suppose i could get a vectra 120bhp remap done, if vauxhall werent willing to flash my ECU ?

You wouldn't need to try and flash it with a Vectra ECU, simply have yours Tech 2'd to tell the car it didn't have a DPF - if you were successful in physically removing it.
