    Default tinting side repeaters

    hiya,
I'd like to tint the side repeaters on my black SRi. Got a tin of Savage Black Taillight tint. Just look for advice on how many coats it'll need also anyone know a rough drying time as it doesn't say in the tin.

    cheers.

You will want to PM Rich (ditchp) he should be able to help you out as he does a lot of these side repeaters and sells them to us for a fair price

Iv'e just done my reversing lights with the same stuff, it tooks about 5/6 coats to get them to tint that suited my rear lights which are also tinted. as for drying i used a hairdryer between coats. It drys pretty quickly anyway, so long as you do them in a warm enviroment. I'll post some pics probably tomorrow when i put them back on the car. When you apply the first couple of coats it looks like it's not tinting but after a few it starts to darken.

I personally would let the lacquer dry naturally remember to post piccys once you have done them. I have seen Rich's (ditchp) work on signumjunkies motor, the repeaters look really good especially on a black car, i think i will fire of a pm to him rather than buying a big tin of spray just for the repeaters.

Here's a couple of pics of my rear lights after i tinted the reversing light lenses, the rest of the lens was already done by a professional, and it bugged me not having the reversing lights the same. I'll try and get them on the car tommorrow and post a few pics.
