It does get harder as you get older, I reckon I'm at least 25% slower these days and just cant do anymore then 8 hrs on the knock, I dont use proplus/speed to push on cos it only kills you early, if ya needs ta sleep ya needs ta sleep imo, seen at least 100-150 drivers/operators go to an early grave in my 20 yrs of doing it, heart attacks mainly, odd cancer victim, and a few of old age.

couldn`t agree more seen younger lads doing similar stuff and worse. think theres an argument for testing in a some cases, just to get rid of idiots endangering themselves and others, and to improve the general image of the game.

We have random testing down here, the young lads make me giggle to myself, everytime i see one come roaring by me, I think back to when I had to do just that to pay all the bills for the week, anyone else reading be very carefull what you joke about in a taxi with a young driver, a punter once said to me....I want and I want to be there in 5 mins and there's a good tip in it for you, he was jesting but i took him at his word and gave him a full on high speed ride, I then had to take him to the airport a few weeks later but i'd just bought a new car so i was being gentle on it, and he told another driver he thought he was gonna die when i turned up to take him there, but was relieved that I gave him a nice relaxed smooth ride instead, i was just like the Taxi driver Daniel in the french film Taxi, even had a white Pug at the time.

i had a young smack rat also known as coke heads up here who asked if it was ok for him to snort a line of cocaine on my dash. he was actually annoyed that i wouldn`t let him. if i`m honest about taxi-ing VV i can`t remember the last nice punter i had and i guess thats just the way society is heading.admittedly some punters really make me laugh but i haven`t managed to pay a bill with laughter yet

Yeah, i know what you mean, I had a job a few weeks back, can you go to this flat 1st and then to a club, no probs I said, one goes in and is missing for 15 mins, then another goes in, while in the 1st one returns and says he didn't pass the other on the stairs etc, eventually I get all 4 back in the car, paid up ok but when i checked the rear seat there was small white lumps on it, I dunno what it was i just brushed it out and made sure i hoovered before the kids rode in it again, the thing I find really annoying is when they think the centre armrest is a footstool, I've had countless grief with that one, and cos now we are ferrying an alien race around they get all defensive as if it shouldn't be a problem.
