    Default how can i remove bird poo without damaging the paint?

    hi guys, ive bought a salvage vectra and its nearly ready,

    i tried removing some bird poo from it using my nail, but replaced it with lots of scrathes

    same with a credit card,

    so whats the right way?

    lidil are selling bird poo remover it's manafactured by w5 can't remember the exact name but iv heard it's good and also cheap

    Not what you've done i'd of soaked it with some APC first or used a pressure washer,got any pic's of the panel????

    its all over thd car, on most panels.

    i dont have a lidil near me.

    a good soak with warm soapy water will help soften it up......then a normal wash

    I have used a quick detailer before and its worked quite well. Sprayed on the plop quite close and then let it soak for a minute and wipe and buff up. The other thing I have used is a Non Water Car Wash which is a cleaner wax type thing and did the same as the quick detailer and that worked ok too and NO scratches

    TFR will remove every thing 50/50 mis sprayed over the car and the jetted off

    I soak a large piece of kitchen roll in warm water, I then gently work it into the pooh (ooh err), leave for a min or two then sponge off then go and have something to eat. Done this for years, never noticed any scratches. I once was on holiday at a seaside place in UK, the seagulls poohed all over the paint work, sunbaked on by the time I got home and had attacked the paintwork. Luckily the car was 8 years old but I am very diligant now at removing them. Problem is, the old lady next door is kind to nature and flings bread out her window every day for the birds. I have an army of cats though just waiting to pounce but thats another story........
