    Default Bit of repair work

With the sun out today I decided to repair the scratch some ****** put into my bumper. When I say scratch, it was well into the plastic and required a fair amount of filler. Thought I'd take some pics and show you my shiney new bumper car is being cleaned tomorrow before you comment

The scratch (note: I have tried to hide it the last 3 months with polish...... to no avail) All the visible scratches have actually gone through into the plastic

When taking the paint back to the plastic, the black bits are where its been scratched so deep the paint is below the surfice of the bumper and required filler.

Taped up and primer applied to where ive rubbed it down.

My own purpose built spray booth!! I've now removed the tape around the primer and sounded the edges of it down so there is no 'edge' I then taped up the panel to avoid overspray and give me more room to blend in the paint.

Finally completed the top coat, rubbed it down with compound and gave it a quick polish...

(Not a great pic as there is a reflection of my house in the middle that makes it look patchy, and she's in desperate need of a wash!)

Not professional no. Ive done a fair bit of painting bodywork (eg spoilers, skirts, etc) with friends before. First go at some repair work today though, was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Yeah, I would be too! Saved your self a lot of money! I've got a few scartches on my front bumper from a high curb that I keep saying I'll repair, but just dont know how! LOL. I'd like to touch up all the stone chips on the bonnet too!
