Has anyone drove from hawes to thwaite in north yorkshire it is apparantly a great drive .we are going to cumbria at easter and i will be going via that way so i will let you know

I don't think I've ever driven a car along there but have a ridden it a few times; be prepared to go slowly if you get caught behind any slow-moving traffic.

To give you a flavour, the B6270 (which the Butter Tubs road joins at Thwaite) is narrow with passing places at points (open in others), and the road you'll be on is more minor - and remember Think Once, Think Twice, Think Bike - that area's popular with motorcyclists.
