I read a How2 on replacing the centre armrest , mine has gone a bit shabby so got one out of an 04 car . But how on earth do I take the old one off , it seems to be all in one to the centre console etc..... Any help please ?

Is it just the fabric is a little aged..... I gave mine a good clean with some foaming upholstery cleaner, then gently went over it with a Gillette M3 razor to take the bobble off the fabric (have done this on the seat bolsters too) brings the fabric up like new!!!
No its because of the rear air vents have broken , plus the actual greyish looking plastic is starting to peel off . Its a grey rubbery type of stuff that looks like has been put on black plastic . It will happen to all others once their car is at my sort of mileage !

Believe me it will happen , my work colleague has an 02 new shape Vectra "C" his is on 140,000 miles and his plastic is coming off on the interior door grab handles too , which reveals black plastic !

Well, what I actually mean is that I'm stuck in traffic on the M25 near Dartford due to an accident!
