Default One for the detailing guru's

The wife has an almost 10 year old Corsa B Sport. Bar the usual age related rust spots it now has a rather severe case of bloom, yes it's red... and the usual corsa trim cancer.

I shall be getting round to dealing with the rust etc soon however what is the best way to try and get rid of the bloom. I've been told that it can't be got rid of bar a new spray job, is this right ??

Would a decent cut and machine polish do anything ??

It's not worth a considering a respray as this would prolly cost more than the car's worth.

I'm no expert but i am sure you could get that looking new with a machine polish. Somebody will be along, have you any pics?

Yep, pink would be a reasonable description.

So I've been told and living on the coast with all the salt in the air doesn't help apparently.
