Rattle busting...

My car is afflicted with several small but audible to me rattle which annoys the heck out of me. So, past few days, I've been going through and trying to identify and elimate the rattles.

So far:

Dash -- found that there were some bolts and screws missing and/or loose on both driver and pass side. Fixed those.

Doors -- opened up the rear pass and front driver side doors -- some of the the plastic clips holding the wiring inside the door are no longer tight fits in the door. I cut 2" sqares of 1/2in foam and cut a slot half way thru it on one side. Inserting these square between the wire and the door with the clip sliding into the slot helped quieten the doors -- though in one case I also had to add a zip tie. Will do the other doors and then tackle the sounds from the parcel shield/rear seatback/trunk.

I'd be interested to hear what others have done. Tips/tricks.

You could try something like this http://www.rattlebuster.com/ , I've never tried it, but remember reading about it in an audio forum once. Might be worth a shot.
