i use 40 allround ....rule of thumb twice the wheel size plus 2
i use the double the wheel size as well but i don't add the 2
for the Vec I think its front 39, rear 35
Anyone else wanna add anything???
my 17's have double the wheel size plus 2 so i am running 36 front and rear.....rule of thumb for it mate....so for you min 38 max 40....hth
I don't see what the rim size has to do with it.
Working out tyre pressures that way infers you are compensating for the volume of air inside the tyre. But you are ingnoring the tyre tread width, which would have a much greater proportional effect.
Pressure is pressure, and is measured "per square inch", so the wheel size, (and hence the contact area with the road) is taken care of.
What really determines correct tyre pressures is the load they have to carry, i.e. the axle weight of the car. Hence you should use a higher pressure when "loaded", not because you fitted bigger rims.
Hi there i'm new to this forum today & was wondering what the exact tyre pressure is for my 235/35 ZR 19 Y on my signum 2.2direct both fully loaded & normal? reason for asking my manual said 32 psi all round & since it has felt heavy in handling & steering!
Thanks Rocketer
