Default Vauxhall's Towbar's are top notch!!

I fitted my towbar at the weekend, I have to say it was a very easy job and the quality is top notch!!

I fitted both the 12N and 12S electrics which on Vectra C just plug in, and then a bit of Tech 2 configuring and your away!!

    Heres a pic

Then a turn of the little key and it is easily removed to avoid spoiling the car!! No cutting required.

Hey, that's rather nifty. Where do you put the stabilizer!

I have the ALKO stabiliser which uses's friction pads in the head, the older arm type are not very common now.

    The ALKO type are brilliant.

Shows when I last went caravanning!! 5 berth 'Lunar' on the back of a Cavalier TD. Not much fun!! Still my dad insisted we'd all enjoy it. He hated it most as he had to keep the old cav on the boil!! 60 on the M'way, top gear wouldn't pull enough revs to get the turbo up to speed, we either went everywhere in fourth, or at 70mph!!

    Those were the days....

How much did your towbar cost. I'd quite like one that can be hidden away.

Hmmph...we weren't even offered the option of the detachable bar. Never crossed my mind to ask right enough. Our dealer supplied and fitted a Witter bar.

Still...beefs up the rear end protection I guess!

Fixed bars do make a good form of defence, but god help anyone who hits the back of mine now!!!! It has a solid bar behind the main bumper iron!!!
