    Default directional indicators problem

does anyone else have the problem with there indicators when turning left and right where as the indicator turns off before youve actually got around the corner
this leads to many other motorists giving me the hand sign where they hold there hand up with a hole between there thumb and forefinger and wave it back and forth !!! W***ER !!!!!
i hate it myself when motorists dont signal so i know how they feel.

its worse when turning left, but does it when turning right too ?

its ok until i turn about 2 degrees then it turns off !

    please help

    lollypop

ps, ive read somewere that my steering wheel need aligning or something, whats that all about !!!

This could be an adjustment of the angle sensor on the CIM (Column Integration Module).

It needs to be done via Tech-2 system if i remember correctly! Basically your dealer or a garage that has VX Tech-2 system.

Please correct me anyone if I am wrong.

Indicators should have two settings as standard one is flash 3 times then self cancels
.but if you physically hold it down or up then should continue until physically cancelled

Yep Vecs have normal indicators (harder push on stalk) and lane change (gentle push on stalk)

It takes a bit of getting used to but give it a firm push & I think you will see how the thing works. Just a touch & you get three winks for overtaking. HTH....

cheers mate for the reply, i appreciate the help and im honestly not being ungreatful but ive had the veccy for 12 months now, it did take a while to get used to the silly light press 3 flash bit, but i realise now how the system works.
i am pressing it hard down and it will flash for ages, like 20 flashes, but as soon as i start to turn,it turns off ?

thanks for the help anyway matey

What you describe seems like what a few people have complained about - ie small movements of steering wheel causes indicators to cancel.

The only way to solve this is to go to your dealer who can do the necessary plugging in and sort it out. It may cost you though.

I guess it does it when you go in for the turn, then slightly back off the lock for the road feature and then it cancels?
