    nissan have this as an option on their range and have done for the past year- works well for light scratches - mainly used on their off road models
    but you do pay a hefty premium for the paint

    Yer rescue mission now in place ,this splitter is definetlly jinxed .
    At this rate i will be lucky to have it refitted in time for rockingham.

    As deztroyer say,s Nissan have been doing something like this too. Where you pour warm water over the scratch and it heals. If this idea does work the body shops will loose a lot of money. But the car owner will have the benifit of the new technology.

    lets wait for the adaptive pait to appear and memory metal

    there all in the pipeline

    adaptive paint- changes coulour dependant on conditions
    i.e. you drive a black car on dark road at night - touch of a button and your car is now white!!

    memory metal - carpark dents a thing of the past - pass an electrical current through the panel and it reforms to it original state

    the motor industry is trying lots of new ideas some good for the customer and not so good for the traders

    but we shall wait and see......i still want a car like in demolition man so that when you crash is packs you in styrofoam!!
