Unhappy Lost my only key - no car pass

Well, being the numpty that I am, I managed to leave all my keys in Poland, including my only car key having been there snowboarding.

Now my car is stuck in my works car park (not too bad) but I have no way of moving it.

I rang Vauxhall and they want £146 for a new car pass, new key, and programming. I will also need to get the car to them, which will be quite difficult with no way of driving it . Gonna be a flatbed job I reckon. And I have no breakdown cover!

I think I may ring around some more garages for a better price, so can anyone recommend a garage in the midlands (Worcestershire if poss) where I may be able to save a few bob?

It's looking that way fella! I might just bite the bullet. At least I will have a new style flippy key!

    It's a cost I could do without!

I have emailed the Cabin owners, so hopefully they will post them to us.

Do you have a friend with AA or RAC cover? If so, get them to get it recovered - 'we car share and the idiot (ie you) has lost his key today - ' - - kind of conversation to get it recovered......

contact the origional selling dealer who p.d.i.'d your car (predelivery inspection) hopefully they woild still have a record of your key no /transponder code
then you could just get one cut/ordered to key no and go from there

My friends dad managed to speak with them, and they have said they cannot find the keys. ******.

Thats a good idea, as I think the missus has cover. Failing that I will ring the AA or someone and see if I can join, and call them out straight away.

I have ordered the Car pass and key now, but thats a good idea, thanks for the suggestion.

Wow, that sounds bloomin good! At that price I may get him to do it! Although I have ordered the key now, so the only problem I am left with is moving the car to Vauxhall.

What recovery service is that then fella? I will definately need one, with a hiab wotsit on the back to lift the car onto the flatbed.
