    Default Turbo...

Right - I now have a spare Turbo sat on the coffee table. A nice talking point if you ask me!! But it would be better under the bonnet of the car. How easy should the swap be, considering it is located up the top of the block. I see 1 conection that may need a new gasket to get a good seal, but the other connection appears to be hose. 1 electrical connection and 4 mounting screws - it surely cant be that simple??

After looking at the TIS procedure for a turbo swap on a 2.0T (I was bored! lol) I don't think the 3.0 CDTi will be that simple! It's the getting into the turbo to get it off that's the mother.

I can post up a PDF for your engine if you like?

Hmm, can't find anything. Can find bits on removing oil/coolant lines, intercoolers etc. etc. - but no procedure for actually removing the turbo on that engine!!

3 hour job I would reckon. On and off if you are good on the tools. In a nice accessible position.
