    Default air box flith!

    after being dragged around shops all day i just finally had 10 mins to myself to tackle the air box plastic

    there was loads of crap in there. leaves etc. ps the pic is after i got most of it out, really needs the hoover when shes not looking!

    gonna get a new filter in there asap. what are peoples reccomendations 1.8 petrol btw

    I've got a K&N induction kit. A lot of people go for the K&N panel filter. Matter of choice. I like the intake noise the induction kit gives personally. As for performance, makes very little difference on it's own. A bit smoother on the throttle perhaps.

    They do seem to accumulate dirt quickly.
    I had my Siggy serviced the other day at an independent garage and the mechanic reckoned he could have grown a good crop of spuds in the bottom of the airbox!

    looks similar to the crap that was in mine. lots of dead flies too yuck

    K&N panel filter. they are lifetime filters so just need cleaned occasionally, not replaced.

    That looks nasty,just get a new paper filter m8 and replace regulary..........

    lifetime filter eh? how much? mite consider that if not alot more than a standard one

    about £40 but it will last the life of the car plus it's a "performance filter"

    how much is the standard filter at vx? going to order a sunglasses holder so might get original from vx intead of from local motor factors
